Log Off Facebook and Stay Fit
There are several ways in which you can spend your time in a more interesting manner than by spending it just updating your status messages and checking for status updates from friends and acquaintances in Facebook.

Avoid Facebook and Staying Fit
You need to avoid Facebook if you want to have a healthy life. Staying fit is one of the best ways to be cool among your peers.
Today a lot of celebrities as well encourage you to avoid Facebook and its time wasting elements. Every day you will hear about more and more people getting off Facebook. There are several reasons why you should avoid Facebook. It is an intrusion into privacy and with the number of fake profiles that are created in Facebook every day it is no longer a safe place to hang out.
With the increasing number of advertisements, Facebook is today becoming more and more of a marketplace than a cool virtual meeting place for friends from all over the globe. Today there are several ways in which you can remain connected with friends, but that does not mean that you have to add your long lost kindergarten class mate in your buddy list and update him or her about every single event in your life and that too at intervals of five minutes each.
Keep your friendships to a minimum. This is true for real life as well as your online presence. Avoid the temptation to judge your popularity and success by the number of friends in your virtual network. Instead of being a Facebook junkie, you can start spending more time outdoors in an attempt to stay fresh and healthy.
In today’s fast paced life, exercise helps you not only to stay fit physically, but also enhances your emotional well being by acting as a good stress buster. It is proven that your happiness and feel good quotient increases rapidly after a good dose of exercise. However, spending time on Facebook offers no such benefits. This is yet another compelling reason to avoid Facebook and focus on the real world instead. You can find several ways in which you can make even exercise fun. You can for example, join an aerobic class or a gym along with your peer group. You can have a healthy competition to see who reaches the ideal BMI first. Make sure that you update each other of the progress made through face to face conversations only and not through yet another Facebook status update. Keep a paper chart if required, to track your personal progress on your path to achieving any healthy habit. Take baby steps when you are trying to avoid Facebook and move to a healthy lifestyle. If you try to bring in too many changes in too short a time, then you will essentially be hitting against a hard wall as habits are not easy to change, especially when your peer group are all doing the same thing.
The best and most effective way to avoid Facebook is to have a group of like minded friends who all decide to boycott Facebook together. This will help you to have friends who would love to join you in your outdoor activities thus making it easier to avoid boredom and the temptation to get into Facebook. After all, the success of a social networking site depends on the fact that sufficient numbers of friend circles are part of the huge network.
While it is ok to be interested in what is happening in the life of your friends, it should not border on insanity. You must know when to avoid Facebook and contact your friend directly instead.
